Our Current Situation
As the war started, all our paid workshops were canceled, halting our revenue. We pivoted to offering free sessions for affected families, hosting over 200 participants already. Now, we seek external support to continue delivering these impactful workshops. Donations will provide relief through glassblowing, sustain our 9 employees, and keep our business afloat.
In the wake of the current war in Israel, our glassblowing studio, Speculo, faced an abrupt halt in our business, from running 80 workshops a week to none. Our 9 dedicated staff members had to return home with no work. Faced with this challenge, we pondered, "How can we help?"
After just two days, we found our answer, extending a helping hand to those most impacted by the war. We initiated workshops for families, spanning from the south to those with members on the front lines, providing them with a brief break from the harsh reality of the war through the captivating art of glassblowing. A momentary escape from the stress and horror proved to be exactly what many needed. Our workshops have quickly filled up, with 10 sessions completed and 200 participants finding a bit of calm. We’ve been seeing smiles on so many faces.
Up until now, these workshops have been entirely free.
Why We Need Your Support
As entrepreneurs striving to run a profitable business, it's not easy for us to ask for help. However, we recognize that we need external support to continue delivering these impactful workshops. Our beautiful studio in Caesarea, along with the employment of 9 dedicated individuals, comes with significant operational costs.
Why Your Support Matters
Healing Through Art: Our workshops provide a much-needed break, allowing families affected by the war to immerse themselves in the therapeutic art of glassblowing. We’ve been hearing terrible stories from those attending our workshops and seeing the experience create a sense of relief and put smiles on on their faces
Restoring Normalcy: Amid chaos, these workshops offer a semblance of normalcy, a chance to create, connect, and find joy in the midst of these challenging times, both for participants and our employees.
Empowering a Business: Your contribution supports a local business and helps us maintain our beautiful studio in Caesarea, providing employment to nine dedicated individuals.
Your support will not only help sustain our studio but will also continue to bring much needed relief to those affected by the war. Our workshops are more than just the art of glassblowing; they are a source of healing and distraction during tumultuous times. Your support will allow us to continue offering these workshops to families who need it the most.
Thank you for supporting us,

This is the first time since we've left our home that I had not looked at the news for over 1.5 hours straight
